В компании напротив работает один мой знакомый, который был счастливым владельцем большого мощного трака. В один прекрасный вечер, когда он выезжал с парковки компании, услышал странный шум из под днища машины. Остановившись и внимательно осмотрев машину, обнаружил... каталитический конвертер был аккуратно отрезан от выхлопной трубы!!!
Представитель страховой компании был только слегка удивлён. Оказывается такой тип воровства им известен.



Ниже приведен ответ представителя страховой компании:

And in case anyone thinks it just fell off, the photos say it all. Take a look.
My personal opinion: park as close as you can to the entrance, not next to the tracks. Higher clearance vehicles are most vulnerable—it takes less than two minutes to saw it off with a good electric saw, start to finish. Most likely the thief was in our parking lot, parked next to ___ for less than two minutes…. Also, my opinion, it will be two guys in a car that parks next to yours, with one of the guys as lookout."

чур, чур! в сравнении с catalytic converter, щетки - такая мелочь :)
